PSM
Architects specializes in commercial and
retail projects. Since its inception,
the firm's
focus has been on providing
design and technical excellence in the
field of commercial architecture.
With extensive
experience in new construction as well
as renovation projects, the firm's projects
range from small tenant improvements, to
office buildings and shopping centers.
Led by
PSM Architects
offers a comprehensive range of architectural
design services including: site surveys,
programming and planning, schematic
design, design development, construction
document and specification preparation,
bid coordination, and construction administration.
Established
in 1961 as Perata & Sylvester, the
firm took on its current incarnation as
PSM Architects, Inc. in 1987 with
Principals Al Perata, Glenn Shinsako,
and Dick Mutter. In 1991, Glenn Shinsako
became president. Laile Giansetto became
Vice President in 2000.
At
PSM, we take pride in the close working relationships
we have maintained with our principle clients
over the years: We
completed our first Longs Drug Store in
1973. Today, we are their primary
architectural firm with projects
completed in
California,
Nevada,
Hawaii
and Colorado.
Safeway Stores, an early client in our
first shopping centers in
Moraga
and
Lafayette
in the
early 1960s, is still among our
valued clients.
Our
long history in retail/commercial
services has been instrumental in the
development of another field of
expertise, Design and Renovation. We
have recently overseen successful
renovations and remodels in
Reno,
El
Cajon,
Bakersfield
and
Honolulu.
We
emphasize careful design and clear, concise construction
documentation. We respond to our clients'
needs quickly and thoroughly. Our goal
is to deliver successful projects and to
bring you, the client, peace of
mind.
